The starting point
Like many growing retail and D2C brands, the business was spending on ads without a clear view of what produced sales. Tracking was incomplete, leads and buyers were not followed up consistently, and campaigns were judged on clicks and likes rather than revenue.
Phase 1: Fix measurement before spending more
Performance marketing only works when you can see results. We set up conversion tracking end to end so every ad, keyword and creative could be judged on actual business outcomes.
Tracking setup
Server-side and pixel tracking for Meta and Google, GA4 events for key actions, and UTM discipline across every campaign.
The right metrics
Return on ad spend, cost per acquisition, average order value and repeat purchase rate replaced vanity metrics in weekly reports.
Phase 2: Rebuild the funnel
We restructured campaigns around the customer journey instead of running disconnected ads.
Prospecting
Broad and interest audiences on Meta with short-form video creatives, plus Google search campaigns for high-intent product keywords.
Retargeting
Dynamic product ads and offer-based creatives for visitors who viewed products or added to cart without buying.
Landing pages
Faster, mobile-first product and offer pages with clear pricing, reviews and WhatsApp support improved conversion rates.
Phase 3: CRM and WhatsApp automation
Most revenue gains came after the first sale. We connected leads and orders to a CRM and automated follow-ups: abandoned-cart reminders, order updates, review requests, and repeat-purchase offers on WhatsApp and email. Sales staff received hot leads instantly instead of working from spreadsheets.
This lifted repeat purchases and reduced the cost of each sale, because the brand earned more from customers it had already paid to acquire.
Phase 4: Scale what works, cut what does not
With reliable data, budget decisions became simple. Weekly reviews moved spend toward profitable campaigns, creatives and products, and paused the rest. Creative testing ran continuously so ads did not fatigue. Over time this compounding discipline produced the 300% ROI increase.
How to apply this to your brand
Start by auditing your tracking. If you cannot tell which campaign produced yesterday's sales, fix that first. Then map your funnel from first ad to repeat purchase, automate follow-ups with a CRM and WhatsApp, and review numbers weekly. Results vary by category, margins and market, but this structure works for D2C, retail, education and service businesses alike.
